2005 is the last year Tracker provided a Mercury SportJet.
This Bass Tracker model is all welded with 57" bottom, 83" beam. Bought it from original owner in 2016 who used it two weeks per year on lakes only. Now, this is boat is tournament tested and ready for the water. Hull is clean, no holes or repairs. 5-person capacity. Dry weight is about 1,650 lbs., so it's easy to tow.
In Nov 2017 a new Mercury 175 HP XR2 V-6 powerheadwas professionally installed.... (read more) Today, about 20 (twenty) hours total on this motor. [10-break-in & a few tourneys].* New trigger/coils/fuel pump/ fuel lines/starter-bendix...
All 3 carbs were disassembled, inspected, cleaned, new gaskets and adjusted. Replaced reels with Boysen carbon fiber power reeds. Added a water separator to fuel system.* Removed old oil-injection (known high failure rate) and pre-mix fuel in 25 gal tank.
Do not compare this boat to previous year models, as they were anemic. This boat gets on plane in TWO boat lengths. The new engine was intentionally detuned 2-degrees and it still runs 40+ mph, as-is. She's plenty fast Other owners claim they run their SportJets at 50+. You buy it, you can re-tune it if you choose.
Jet pump is nearly new; still has factory paint on Stator, indicating no wear. 7 inch stainless steel impeller and sleeve show minimal wear.
36-volt Motor Guide 110# with machete prop. Uses 3-AGM batteries, replaced in 2018. Holds well in river current. Trolling motor has older case but was completely rebuilt in 2017 (head & harness to prop). Work done by an authorized service dealer.
Two matching Lowrance HDS-5 Lake Insight chart/sonar units both with GPS. Attached with RAM mounts and networked together. Bow uses one of the trolling motor batteries and console unit has separate AGM battery.
Two on-board battery chargers: 3-bank for trolling motor and 2-bank for console unit and cranking battery. Total 5 batteries.
2005 Trailer is factory GalvaShield (power coated) with swing-away tongue Goodyear Marathon steel belted radials in 2017. Spare tire and mount on trailer. E-Z Lube hub system that lubes both inner and outer bearings simultaneously. Replaced tail lights with submersible LEDs. Replaced carpeted bunks with UHMW bunks for easy launching and loading.
Upgraded livewell: Added a re-circulation pump in livewell. Fish get the Spa Treatment which keeps them well oxygenated.
Custom, lockable battery box located forward of console. Distributes the weigh better and provides easy access.
This boat has abundance of lockable storage. Can get 15 rods in the either of the two rod-lockers.
Dry storage locker has plastic liner, everything stays clean and dry. Bow tackle locker stores 20+ 3700 size boxes. Two additional storage compartments behind seats, these two do not lock.
No rips/tears in seats, plus have an extra new seat. Carpet is in good shape, one nickel-size wear mark on corner forward of starboard rod locker. Use a rubber fatigue mat at bow, so less wear on boat and more comfortable and safer when fishing.
Personally I do not recommend skinny water, however perhaps you do. This boat runs well in really thin water see YouTube video:
Need to cute -n-paste into bowser.
Other amenities include a switchable 12-V charging port for phones, spot lights and handheld devices. The push-to-choke on key is factory disabled on Sport Jets. In fact, the harness from console to engine is missing a wire. This boat however, added a wire to activate an enhancement solenoid, so it starts easily in any weather (unlike factory boats). Also added a float switch to bilge pump with 3-way (on/off/auto) switch at console.
Reason for selling. If this boat is so great, why sell it? Fair question. Plan to relocate in the near future. Although this boat is great in shallow water (i.e. rivers) and usable on most any water, it is harder to compete on big water. (i.e. Lake Erie). New home will be on big-water, so need a bigger boat with a prop. .
